We are now accepting applications for our Irvine math camp December 2017–January 2018 on Proofs from THE BOOK. Although the regular deadline has passed, we are still able to accept a few more applications on a first-come first-serve basis. The class will run December 26–30, 2017 and January 2–6, 2018, from 9 AM to 5 PM, on the UC Irvine campus. The cost of the class is $1300, but we will offer a $100 discount to students who meet at least one of the following criteria:
- Members of an A1 or A2 ARML team
- USAMO/USAJMO qualifiers
- Students who have been attending the UC Irvine math circle for at least two years
- Students who have previously attended Canada/USA MathCamp, HCSSiM, PROMYS, Prove It! Math Academy, Ross, or SUMaC.
If you meet at least one of these criteria, please list it on your application. In addition, students will not be turned away due to lack of funds: if the cost will be burdensome to you, then let us know after you have received your acceptance letter, and we will figure out how to allow you to attend anyway.
The application form is below. It is not worth spending a huge amount of time worrying about this application; fill it out quickly and then go back to learning mathematics. We will send you a confirmation email shortly (within 24 hours) after you apply; if you do not receive one, then that means your application was not submitted successfully.
For the recommender, please list someone who knows about your mathematical background whom we may contact in case we have any questions. We will not necessarily contact this person.
